Zam Zam Tower

Zam Zam Tower which overlooks the Holy Mosque in Kaaba, Saudi Arabia today has a significance of its own. At an ancient holy site, it simply stands as a modern architectural marble.

Zam Zam Tower is estimated to have been built with a staggering investment of nearly $400m and the company which spearheaded this project is Aref Investment Group which led a consortium of some leading construction companies for this huge project.

Zam Zam Tower is a 31-storey tall building comprising 5,500 residential units out of which there are over 1,200 luxurious suites. Being built over a sprawling space size of 91,326 sq. meters, Zam Zam Tower is divided into four complexes. The foundation stone of the Zam Zam Tower was laid in 2002 and the building will be ready later this year.

Modern architectural significance apart, Zam Zam Towers today also has some strong religious connotations. Zam Zam Tower, in fact, is the first real estate project in the kingdom which facilitates pilgrims from all over the world to possess Sokouk Al-Intifa’a wherein one can utilize housing units at this unique spot in Holy Makkah in compliance with Sharia'a.

Zam Zam Tower has been developed on a plot of land which originally belonged to the late King Abdul Aziz. It practically exists on the same piece of land which once had historical Ajyad Castle.

Another major first for this building in Saudi Arabia is that Zam Zam Tower is thefirst building in the kingdom which has been developed on the pattern of B.O.T. (Build- Operate- Transfer) rules. Once it gets ready, Zam Zam Tower will be available for utilization for a period of 24 years.
